Terms and Conditions

PART ONE — FOR STALLHOLDERS

1. Booking Your Stall

• Stalls are offered subject to availability.
• A booking is only confirmed once payment has been received in full.
• Bookings are personal to the Stallholder and cannot be transferred to another person or business without our prior written agreement.
• We allocate stall numbers and positions at our discretion. Please don’t move or swap your table or position on the day without checking with us first.

2. Payment

Payment is due at the time of booking, using whichever payment method(s) we make available for that event (for example, online payment, or card/cash on the day, as advertised). All stall fees are non-refundable.

3. Cancellations, Postponements & Late Arrival

• Bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable. If you’re no longer able to attend, we’re not able to offer a refund or move your booking to another date.
• If we need to postpone or cancel an event ourselves, your booking will automatically carry over to the rearranged date, time or venue where possible (see Section 14).
• Stallholders may set up 1.5 hours prior to the event start time. We can’t allow access before this while we are setting up the venue, for health and safety reasons.
• If you arrive less than 15 minutes before the event is due to open, we may not be able to let you in. This is treated as a late cancellation, and your stall fee will not be refunded.
• Please don’t pack up or leave before the event has officially ended, for the safety of visitors and other stallholders still trading.

4. What You Can Sell

• Everything you bring must relate to maternity, babies, or children.
• Items must be clean, in great condition, and fully working — no missing parts, no marks or stains, and toys/equipment must meet British Safety Standards.
• You’re welcome to sell any brand-new items you have been gifted or never used.
• Any toy or baby item that needs batteries must be sold with working batteries already fitted, and in full working order.
• You must own everything you’re selling, or have the owner’s clear permission to sell it on their behalf.

5. What You Cannot Sell

• Anything broken, heavily worn, damaged, dirty, or not in full working order.
• Anything unrelated to maternity, babies, or children.
• If in doubt: if you wouldn’t buy it yourself, please don’t bring it to sell.
• We may ask you to remove any item from sale at any point during the event if it doesn’t meet these standards.

6. On the Day — Stallholder Conduct

• Take care of the venue: nothing should be fixed to walls, doors, floors, or curtains, and heavy items should be carried, not dragged or pushed across the floor. If you can’t lift something yourself, please don’t bring it.
• Before you leave, please take all your rubbish and any unsold items with you. Anything left behind will be thrown away.
• You’re responsible for your own stall, your money, and keeping an eye on your things. We don’t accept responsibility for theft, loss, or damage to anything you bring, and everyone attending — sellers and visitors alike — does so at their own risk.
• You’re responsible for setting up your stall safely and securely, and for anything that happens as a result of how your stall or items are arranged. By booking, you agree to cover us for any claims arising from negligence on your part (or your helpers’), or from anything faulty or unsafe that you’ve sold.
• Anyone who doesn’t follow these guidelines may be asked to leave the event.

7. Business & Craft Stallholders

We only offer a limited number of business and craft stalls at each event, so please check availability with us before booking. In addition to everything above, if you’re trading as a business you must:

• Trade legally and comply with all laws that apply to running your business, including current product safety legislation
• Send us a copy of your Public Liability Insurance certificate before the event.
• If selling food, comply with all food hygiene requirements and hold any certificates required to sell food to the public.

PART TWO — FOR VISITORS & BUYERS

8. Entry Prices

• Unless we say otherwise, entry to our regular markets is £2 per adult, with children going free.
• Anyone aged 16 or over counts as an adult for entry purposes.

9. Item Safety

We ask every stallholder to only sell items that are safe and fit for sale. Any toy or baby item that needs batteries should be sold in full working order with batteries fitted. We don’t allow the sale of anything broken, in poor condition, unsafe, or that breaches health and safety law or trading standards guidance.

10. Your Belongings

Please look after your own bags, purses and belongings while you shop. We take no responsibility for theft, loss, or damage to personal items at our events.

11. Buying at Our Events

All items are sold as seen. We’re not part of the transaction between you and a stallholder, so we can’t take responsibility for any purchase made at the market. That said, if you’re ever concerned about something you’ve bought, or about a stallholder’s items, please let us know at info@babiesandbeyond.co.uk and we’ll look into it.

12. Admission

• Everyone who comes to one of our events does so at their own risk.
• We reserve the right to refuse admission to any person, without giving a reason, or to eject (or have ejected) any person and their belongings, without giving a reason for doing so.

PART THREE — GENERAL

13. Health & Safety and the Law

• All stallholders are responsible for complying with any law, regulation or official guidance that applies to what they're selling or how they trade. We're not responsible for a stallholder's failure to comply with the law.
• We reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the event, any person or stall without giving a reason, where we reasonably believe it's necessary for the safety or smooth running of the event.

14. If We Need to Change or Cancel an Event

Occasionally, things outside our control mean we have to change, postpone, or cancel an event — for example severe weather, venue issues, illness outbreaks, road closures, or government restrictions. Where this happens, we’ll let you know as soon as we reasonably can, and we’ll do our best to move the event to a suitable alternative date or venue. In these circumstances, stall fees will not be refunded, but stallholder bookings will be honoured at the rearranged event.

15. Our Liability

• Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
• Beyond that, we’re not liable for losses that weren’t reasonably foreseeable, or for loss of profit or business losses, since we don’t expect stallholders to be relying on us for their livelihood.
• We don’t accept responsibility for the theft, loss, or damage of stallholder or visitor property at the event.

16. Insurance

We hold public liability insurance for our events, to help protect our visitors and stallholders.

17. Your Data

We take your privacy seriously and handle your personal information in line with UK data protection law (UK GDPR). We’ll only use your details for purposes you’d reasonably expect — for example, processing your booking and contacting you about the event. 18. Complaints

We hope you never need to, but if something goes wrong, please contact us at info@babiesandbeyond.co.uk and we’ll aim to come back to you with a solution within 5 working days.

19. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales (or Scotland/Northern Ireland, if that’s where you live).
