Babies & Beyond Ltd ("Babies & Beyond", "we", "us" or "our") is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17340771, with registered office at Babies & Beyond Ltd, 11 Bridge Street, Bury, Lancashire, BL0 9AB. We organise pre-loved baby and children's indoor sales events across Greater Manchester, and we operate the website at babiesandbeyond.co.uk (the "Website").

For the purposes of data protection law, Babies & Beyond is the data controller of the personal data described in this policy.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what your rights are, whether you give us your details:

  • through our Website (including our stallholder booking pages, our newsletter/event-alert sign-up, or our contact form);
  • by email or WhatsApp;
  • through our Facebook and Instagram pages; or
  • in person, for example when booking or paying for a stall at one of our events.

It also explains how we use cookies on our Website. By using our Website or giving us your personal data, you're accepting the practices described in this policy. If you don't agree, please don't submit your personal data to us.

3. The information we collect

a) Information you give us directly

  • Stallholder / seller bookings: your name, email address, phone number, and any details you give us about the stall or pitch you're booking (for example, what you plan to sell).
  • Newsletter and event-alert sign-ups: your email address, and your name and general location if you choose to give them, so we can let you know about events near you.
  • Contact form, email and WhatsApp enquiries: your name, email address or phone number, and whatever you tell us in your message.
  • Social media: if you message or comment on our Facebook or Instagram pages, we may see your name, profile details and message, in line with that platform's own privacy policy.

b) Information we collect automatically

When you visit our Website, we and our analytics and advertising partners automatically collect some technical information using cookies and similar technologies, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and how you use the site. See Section 6 (Cookies) for details.

c) Payments

  • Online payments (for example, a stallholder booking fee paid through our Website) are processed for us by PayPal. We don't store your full card details ourselves — our payment provider processes and holds this information under their own privacy policy.
  • In-person payments (cash or card at an event) are handled by us directly or through our card reader provider; we only keep the transaction record we need for our accounts.

Under UK GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for using your personal data. Here's what we use it for and why:

6. Who we share your information with

We don't sell your personal data. We do share it with a small number of trusted organisations who help us run our events and Website, including:

  • Payment processing: PayPal
  • Email/newsletter platform: MailChimp
  • Website analytics: Google (Google Analytics)
  • Advertising: Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram)

We may also share your information if we're under a legal duty to do so, to protect our rights, or if we sell or restructure our business (in which case we'd disclose data to the prospective buyer).

7. Where your information is stored

Some of the organisations listed above (such as Google and Meta) may store or process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum or the recipient being in a country judged to provide adequate protection.

9. Keeping your information secure

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Our events and Website are aimed at parents, carers and stallholders — not at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data directly from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we'll delete it.

11. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • sk us what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it (right of access);
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data (rectification);
  • ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances (erasure / "right to be forgotten");
  • ask us to restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances;
  • object to us using your data, including for direct marketing;
  • ask us to move your data to another organisation (data portability), where this is technically possible; and
  • withraw any consent you've given us, at any time
